Sauropods Bone Fragment
This is a piece of genuine dinosaur bone around 180 million years old. This fossilised bone came from a Sauropod dinosaur.
Sauropods were large four legged herbivorous dinosaurs. They had long necks and would have eaten mainly conifers and ferns which were plentiful in their habitat.
When this dinosaur died it would have been covered by silt and sand creating the right conditions for fossilisation to occur.
These are fragments of tiny pieces of one of the largest land animals ever!
